Title
Long-legged Erythraeid Mites Eating Wolf Spider

Description
Two adult Long-legged Erythraeid Mites scavenge a dead Wolf Spider near the Ohio River. According to one researcher, these mites possibly belong to the genus Erythraeus, which includes only two North American species. The individuals in this photo could be either of those species, or might even represent a species yet to be described by taxonomists. (See the BugGuide.net page for this photo to see the discussion of these mites and their identity.)
