High School Initiation

High school students in 1950 are initiated into a service club by submitting to several acts of public humiliation: carrying Corn Flakes cereal boxes; wearing winter gloves/shoes on one hand/foot; wearing a necklace made of toiletries (bar of soap, toothbrush, and comb); wearing earmuffs (for the girls); and wearing ribbons in the hair (for the boys).
